cozy

the end is so close i can taste it. well, sort of the end... my final 600A paper's due friday by 3:00p, grades for the 103 exam are due monday morning, then i get to really relax (& get some christmas shopping done) before i get back to work & start in earnest on my qualifying exam. at least i've already done some brainstorming for quals, so hopefully i'll be able to balance writing that with some quality time at home with family & friends.

right now i'm listening to norah jones' new album ("the fall") & working on my 600A paper after a nice study break: worked on the wedding website stuff for a bit, then ran to hamilton with jim to pick up snow boots for me & jeans for him. both of us were successful (i also found some knee-high wool socks, yes!), & now i'm excited to wear my waterproof, super-lightweight boots! my new favorite place: dick's sporting goods.

tomorrow (after we administer the 103 exam) is a "yay, we made it through our first (or third, for the older guys) semester of teaching, let's drink margaritas & eat mexican food" day. in the meantime, i should get back to work so i can relax & drink as many strawberry margaritas as i want tomorrow. :)
