a yorkie/shih tzu mix, 6.5 weeks old, who's currently napping on my chest, to be exact. picked her up wednesday night in hamilton after some craigslist research. the couple couldn't guarantee the only female of the 3-puppy litter would still be available by the weekend, so i called jim (who was already going to come play mario kart) & asked if he'd like to take an impromptu 25-minute trip with me. tyler & i had been talking about getting a dog, & this just seemed like the right one.
it was love at first sight. can you blame me?
her name's ruby pearl. yes, that's an old lady name. but tyler liked ruby after the rolling stones' "ruby tuesday"... he hadn't met her yet, just was helping me brainstorm over the phone, but i thought it was perfect. pearl was my idea, partly for "the landlord" will ferrell sketch, partly for alpha chi (she's a cute little pearl). she'll go by ruby, though.
ahhh, i'm in love. tyler's pretty enamored too. :)

What a good little AXO you are! My great-grandmother's name was Ruby :) I just canNOT get enough of these pictures! She is too cute!
